Chelsea v Manchester City: Your Choice of Price Boosts for Wednesday’s Clash

There is a full list of Premier League fixtures in midweek but one game alone stands out from the rest. Having suffered a shock defeat at home to Crystal Palace at the weekend, Chelsea must now focus on a huge clash with Manchester City as they look to maintain their lead at the top of the table.

It’s a game that will attract huge interest in the betting community so here are some price boosts from two popular bookmakers that could earn some extra profit at the end of 90 minutes.

Paddy Power

Paddy Power are fairly even in their boosts with choices for those favouring either team. You could start by backing Chelsea to win both halves at an extended 7/1 and that’s decent value for a punt that is as low as 11/2 around the books.

Paddy also have Manchester City to win and Both Teams to Score listed at 9/2. Chelsea have a tight defence but with Palace breaching it on two occasions at the weekend, City are a good bet to score, particularly with Sergio Aguero on target in the draw with Arsenal.

And, that brings us on to the third price boost with both Aguero and Diego Costa to score quoted by Paddy Power at 5/1. Chelsea’s Costa is enjoying a good overall season and, if both sides do find the net in this match, you wouldn’t necessarily back against these two men providing the goals.

Finally, Paddy Power have Manchester City to score in both halves at 3/1. This could be considered as the outside bet but based on their respective performances at the weekend, we could see a very open and attacking game on Wednesday.

Winner Sports

Winner also have a choice of four price boosts that are balanced out evenly for backers of either side. We’ve discussed the relative merits of the two main strikers on show and you can get Chelsea to win and Diego Costa to score at 3.40 or Sergio Aguero to score and Manchester City to win at 4.75.

Aguero may be in slightly better form right now but over the course of the season, Costa looks to be the bigger threat. Once again it’s a tough choice but for either team to win it, they are likely to need their key strikers to help them out.

Finally, you have Chelsea to win and Both Teams to Score at 4.33 or Manchester City to win and Both Teams to Score at 5.00. We’ve discussed the possibility of an open and attacking game with 7 goals coming in the two matches involving these sides at the weekend. Both Teams to Score would therefore be one of the most popular bets of the whole game so all you need to do now is pick a winning team.

Clearly that’s not an easy task but the potential for value in a tight game such as this is strong so it helps to have some excellent price boosts such as these as we look to squeeze out some extra profit if possible.
