Get an enhanced 7/1 on Faugheen for the Irish Champion Hurdle

It’s been a long wait for Faugheen to return to action but on Sunday, the Gigginstown House Stud runner has been declared for Leopardstown and the Irish Champions Hurdle. Despite a year’s lay off, the horse is red hot favourite to take this race but new customers to Paddy Power can turn an odds on price into a rather more tempting 7/1.

Signing Up

The offer is for new customers only and if you don’t have an account with Paddy Power already, you can head on over to sign up via the dedicated landing page. Once you have registered with a few basic details, you can fund your account with at least £10.00 and then select Faugheen from Paddy Power’s horse racing markets.

Your maximum stake here is £10.00 and if you are successful with your bet, Paddy Power will pay returns at the book price, currently 8/13, back into your account and any remaining balance, will be issued as free bet tokens up to that boosted figure of 7/1.

With this and with any other sportsbook promotion, be sure to check all terms and conditions to make sure you are happy to proceed but those are the essential points you need to know.

Out in front

Faugheen won this race twelve months ago but since then has faced a long spell away from the sport. In that time, the Gigginstown House Stud switched their horses from the care of Willie Mullins and on to new trainer Henry de Bromhead but the bookies are not expecting that to make any difference by the time of the off this Sunday.

Faugheen leads the market and that 8/13 Paddy price is typical across the sportsbooks. From there, we have a gap between the favourite and Petit Mouchoir who is on offer at a best of 9/4 with Ladbrokes and then the third favourite Nichols Canyon, who is out at 5/1 with Paddy Power.

It’s a measure of Faugheen’s quality therefore that the horse is so far ahead of the field, even after such a long spell away from the sport. The Irish Champion Hurdle carries threats among the declaration but there is a more than even chance that De Bromhead’s runner will defend his title here and if you need a little extra value from the markets, this Paddy Power promotion is the one to choose.
